Welcome to my blog! My name is Carter White and I am currently a teacher candidate in the East Kootenay Teacher Education Program. (EKTEP)
I grew up in Cranbrook and I am very fortunate to have been raised in such a beautiful place. I was able to be a part of the community by playing multiple different sports as well as being able to give back and share my passions. I really enjoyed coaching the grade 6 Gordon Terrace boys basketball team for 3 years and I also had the opportunity to help coach the Cranbrook Bandits baseball team for 2 summers. After high school, I moved to Kamloops to attend Thompson Rivers University where I played for the “Wolfpack” baseball team and was enrolled in the Bachelor of Arts Program for 3 years. I transferred back to the College of the Rockies to pursue my passion for working with kids and I was accepted into the EKTEP program. I am excited to teach and learn while bringing a fun, safe, and supporting environment to everyone who I may cross paths with in the future!
